Salt in the parking lot

I picked up some groceries this afternoon. The grocery delivery service has been doing poorly lately, substituting lots of items with inferior items or things we didn't even ask for. So I went myself and grabbed what we needed.

The parking lot had salt all over. It's supposed to snow overnight. I don't know if that was there before or if it's in anticipation.
