Why did the snipe cross the road?

Cold again today, but fortunately there's not been that much of a breeze so while there is some windchill factor it's not that great. Still, it isn't a day for hanging around outdoors for long.

Down on the Somerset levels the track was covered with a thin layer of water which had frozen, making walking on it a pretty dangerous affair.  Even the Snipe was sliding around.
