It’s winter here!

Last Thursday I took the train to Northern Washington to attend a memorial service and spend time with family. It’s cold up here, but worse in Portland.

I’ve had to reschedule my return trip twice because of the weather, and I feel lucky to be warm and well fed where I am. My sister in law’s bird feeders have provided good entertainment and we streamed the first two seasons of the TV show Ghosts. 

Back in Portland Terri has power, though she’s stuck in the house and the water pipes have frozen. With any luck I’ll be able to get home Thursday and we won’t have a broken water pipe.
