The Mournes

A lovely sunny, frosty morning today. I went with my SiL to visit the AM’s mum in her nursing home on the shores of Strangford Lough.

All the way down in the car I caught gorgeous views of the Mourne Mountains and when we got to our destination I had to take a photo! There is snow on the top of Donard, the highest peak shown here, although the iPhone photo doesn’t do it justice.
Granny is happily ensconced in her own little world and doesn’t recognise any of us, but she seems content and is very well looked after. Getting old is not for the faint hearted.
