Scottish Highland Games

at Brengle Terrace Park in Vista, California.
This is the Sheaf Toss, where they attempt to sling a burlap sack filled with twine, backwards over their shoulder, using a TWO prong pitchfork OVER the high cross bar.
In this toss, the burlap sack hit the bar, teetered on it and then fell forwards, instead of away. Which meant it didn't count. Disappointing!
Besides the Heavy Athletics, there were sanctioned sheep dog trials, Pipe Band competitions, Musical Bands; Scottish and Celtic, Highland Dancers, vendors and FOOD! Got my Haggis fix!
