Beach

We went to the beach today but found this sign. As we were about to leave some lifeguards came and said that the shark hadn't been sighted for half an hour. Therefore it was safe! So we all had a good swim but didn't go too far out. I also spent a fair bit of time lying on the beach listening to the Aus vs WI test. Later on Bec and I were supposed to have dinner with a colleague of mine and his wife, but he got the days mixed up. So we ended up having a very nice seafood dinner on our own, while the kids went to another much cheaper restaurant by themselves. Fortunately, there were no fights (in either restaurant). There had been one dispute earlier in the day, and in the heat of arguement Jane had made the allegation "Adelaide hasn't done anything nice all holiday apart from saving me from drowning". This significant event in the hotel pool on the day of our arrival, where Adelaide was indeed the hero, does seem to have had an impact on Jane.
