I Was Watching You . . . Roseanne Cash

This lily is growing in the vegetable garden which I can see from the kitchen window.  It is almost fully open and the one stem has eight blooms.  It is like having a bouquet on one plant.  I am not going to cut it and will leave it to be admired.  We are getting compliments from the walkers going up the hill.  They like seeing what is growing and how the tomatoes are nearly ready and the sun flowers are a different type from last year, the kumara leaves are looking lush etc.
We have had two days of gentle rain which will have done the garden good.  I started to pull weeds until the sun came out from the cloud and made it too warm for me.
