Winter sunset

Very misty first thing, but by the time I walked into Holmfirth for the second drumming 'taster session' the sun was beginning to break through, and mist starting to rise in the valley. Bitterly cold and pavements icy - walked as far as the main road on the road, which had been salted. After an enjoyable 90 minutes' drumming, which seemed to be over far too quickly, we emerged into a beautiful sunny day.

Dashed home afterwards to make sure I was back in time for the heating engineer, who serviced our boiler. He couldn't find anything that might be causing the intermittent problem with hot water, or lack thereof, and advised calling the manufacturer should it happen again. It's still under guarantee until the end of the year, thank goodness.

MrM and I set out for a walk a little later than intended this afternoon, too late to go very far, but it was -4°C so I didn't mind! By the time we reached the cliff track the sun had already gone down behind the hill, leaving an orange glow sunset. Easy to see  the dry stone walls around the fields in the snow.
