We don't suffer from cold feet!

I'm thinking that many of the Mallards gathered in Pollok Park have come from Maxwell Park where there was no open water and although parts of the White Cart were frozen there was still plenty of free, rather fast flowing water in the river.

No frost this morning and the temperature was above freezing but there were some significant areas of black ice so due care was needed.

When I was in primary school one of our favourite winter activites was to make an icy slide in the playground .... no health and safety guidlines in those days. The minute the playtime bell rand we were out .... no warm clothing for us just gym slips, a grey cardigan and grey socks. We were fearless as we took our run up to the sheet ice and as far as I can remember no one ever fell
