History is amazing.

We explored the Anglo Saxon church at Escomb in the spring and being in Somerset it wasn’t too far to go to track down this one. St Laurence’s church in Bradford on Avon. Two down and two to go!
We followed it up with a very good lunch at Timbrell’s Yard and a visit to an aqueduct up river before heading back to Yeovil. A lovely dinner at home followed by some late Christmas presents. Emily was most thrilled by the gift of a pottery Santa Claus for the top of the Christmas tree which originally belonged to my Great Grandmother. I was just as thrilled when my mum gave it to me. The nippers were pretty impressed with a Christmas ornament that must be around 100 years old.
