Windmill 'De Goede Hoop', Mijnsheerenland

'Goede Hoop' = 'Good-uh Hope' = exactly 'Good Hope'.
Mijnsheerenland = 'Mines-hey-run-lant'

Built in 1749, so 275 years this year.  The same generation as the Kinderdijk mills.  It happens to be standing literally in someone's backyard.  In fact, the whole corner is off limits to the public as all the parking areas are reserved for the people who live there, as well as for their clients, because there are offices in their houses.  It's the kind of area where one can find Porsches and Ferraris near the gates.  Wasn't sure where I could park, but one of the rich ladies had just stepped out to walk her dog, and she told me it was all right to park.  I told her it would only take a few minutes, and a few minutes was all I needed because I couldn't enter the backyard anyway.  You'll agree, though, that the view is more than sufficient.  Due to the crappy space, as buildings were on either side, I could not take any panoramic shots.  A pity, actually, as the sun was gloriously parading itself on its way down, the light hitting the mill at just the right angle.

Extra -- shot at 100 kph on the Moerdijk ('Moordike') bridge, the way I used to do it, through the passenger window.

Housekeeping, kitchen duties, MOOCking.  Thankful for a sunny day.

Thank you also for having dropped by yesterday and for your comments.  It is all very much appreciated.
