This is our last day in Wanaka, tomorrow we head west across the Southern Alps via the Haast pass and drop down on to the wild west coast.  There have been all sorts of warnings out for a depression coming from over Australia way  dropping an unprescented amount of rain (up to 700mm) in a short time likely to cause flooding  and landslip.  Major roads were been closed but luckily are now open and hopefully plain sailing tomorrow. The main photo today is what l saw this morning when l looked out the window,  any rain had cleared and a great day was in store.  M went for a walk up a local mountain, l went over to beautiful Lake Hawea where it was so windy l had trouble getting out of the car
