It's over

3 days of disruption are behind us now.
There was freezing rain this morning which had roads looking more like ice rinks than concrete pads. Lots of reports of cars in ditches and so on, stay off the roads, only essential travel advised. The sad story came out of a man whose car slid off the highway and when he was walking back to go get help, he was hit by a snow plough and died later in hospital.
About noon, the temp went up a degree or two and the ice started to melt, who knows what problems tomorrow's snow melt will start to bring.

Ah well...
