Figgate Robin

A late cancellation of Edinburgh parkrun, due to a large icy patch, had us scurrying over to Portobello parkrun at Figgate Park this morning. Holyrood parkrun wasn’t an option today as it was cancelled for another event in the park. So, that’s twice in one month at Portobello parkrun - unheard of! It was a good event though, with only one small parch of ice which was well marked and easy to avoid. Afterwards we went for a coffee with several other parkrunners which rounded the morning off nicely.

The robin is painted on the side of a large container near the entrance to the park. At first I thought someone had drawn horns on him, but I think there’s been a poster stuck there which hasn’t all been successfully removed.
