Dipper

On my way south I stopped overnight in Inverness and walked along the river to the islands, where I usually see dippers. Not this time. But I did see some further south. There was one on the Water of Allander north of Glasgow and up to four on the Water of Leith, Edinburgh. On the River Kelvin in Glasgow were two behaving very much like a pair. The books say that the do sometimes stick together through the winter although not 'officially' a pair.
