But very appealing in an Italianate sort of way.  The set is complete but sadly a couple of the cups have cracks in them - weird sort of cracks actually, possibly by putting hot fluid in them.

I have no idea how the lace decoration was done - it's almost as though a piece of cotton lace was carefully laid on the piece which was then covered in slip before firing.  It's too perfect to be hand painted; and I think too intricate to be moulded.

The mark on the bottom is "Venetzia" which would be about right.
