Hershey Felder performs

as "Gershwin Alone".
Felder is a pianist, actor, playright and producer of the show.  This is the farewell tour of this production, which he has shared through more than 3000 performances in more than 100 venues worldwide.
He is a one-man show and he tells us his story as Gershwin. He has done this kind of performances for Chopin, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Debussy and Leonard Bernstein. He is wonderful and we are looking for his next debut here in Orange  County. He is American but resides in Venice, Italy.
The venue is the first class South Coast Repertory. Founded 60 years ago it transformed from a storefront of the American Theatre in a former dime store to a new state of the art theatre in a former Lima Bean field in 1976. 
In the brochure the theatre respectfully acknowledges its presentce on the traditional land of the Tongva People. With gratitude, we honor the land and the people, past and present, who have stewarded it through the generations. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME THAT I READ ANYTHING LIKE THIS . It is so iimportant, since some people want the foreigners to go home, this came up in my aerobic class, the teacher said that some people no longer want to fund the Statue of Liberty and my response was: WE ALL HAVE TO GO BACK HOME. It was meant as a joke and nobody laughed.
