Sevilleta National Wildlife Refuge

Rugged hike under windy, chilly conditions.  The views made it all worthwhile , but I am exhausted.  Forgive please if I don't get to your photos tonight.

~ More Sandhills, thousands more at Bernardo Wildlife Refuge. Five hundred snow geese took off and flew over our heads.  What a thrill. 

It's hard to believe these two very different wildlife refuges are within ten miles of each other.
