Carpe Diem

With a two week weather window about to close through night I received a late call to head out that afternoon and squeeze in a Munro while conditions were still favourable.

A 14.00 start meant we could make it up Ben Lomond for sunset and a walk down in the dark on a mountain with no technical difficulty.  Surprisingly decent nevé snow on the final 300m on the Ptarmigan Ridge side, atmospheric conditions and a walk off below starry skies. Better than sitting around the house all afternoon for sure.
