Small Sweet Treat

The local honey vendor at the Bellingham Farmers Market offers these narrow "sticks" of honey at a price children (and grandparents) can afford -- 25 cents each, or five for $1 (0.76 Euro, 0.65 GBP).

The 6.75 inch (17 cm) plastic straw holds just 1/2 teaspoon of honey, and it takes some time to suck the honey out and then squeeze the straw to get the last drops, so as sweet treats go, this one is a bargain in both cost and amount of honey ingested!

Honey sticks are one of the reasons our grandchildren love to go to the farmers' market, and they're looking forward to doing that next month, when they'll be staying with us for five days.
