The simple daisy

I think flower macro is one of the ultimate most satisfying things you can do with a camera. Most shots you can get a bit of time to try and get it right as its not like they go anywhere. I had pretty good success with a macro of a something or other on Flickr the other night and its been macro all the way since.

The daisy is one of my favourite subject, it's so simple and there are so many ways you can do it. This one was held in place on a table outside with a peg which I could move to get the full 1:1 macro with a nice shallow DoF to get the extreme bokeh background, its actually my garden shed about 8 feet away, and get some nice soft focus in the daisy petals.
