New teaching

A switch of A-Level texts this year means I get to teach Gatsby to my Y12s. I have taught it before but not for a long time so it’s one of the things I’ve been looking forward to this year. It’ll off-set teaching the same old stuff at GCSE.

A drop down day today with some tricky subject matter to teach to Y10. We all survived and their maturity was generally other credit. With lots of people to cover those of us that were in were pretty worn out by the end of it so it was a fairly quick exit at the end of our team meeting. Home to Bailey who didn’t deign to come downstairs when I got in. Exhausted, no doubt, by being restless last night with the storm. At least one of us got to sleep it off today.
