It may not be pretty...

...but it works.

I mentioned the electronics part of this build to it's recipient so I really had to buck up my soldering iron and get it together.

Original idea was to use strip board but I just don't have either the skill or tools to pull that off too elegantly.  Instead I went for the sledge hammer approach and just soldered the resistors and LEDs together.

Don't think theres many electrical engineers who would use hot glue to insulate components from each other!!!
