Rainy Days

Heading home from Portsoy yesterday evening, we saw lightning for the first time in several years and drove through rain showers heavier than anything we've seen for several months up here in the North East.

The rain showers continued throughout today. Here we see raindrops glistening this evening on the leaves of one of the Alchemilla mollis (Lady's Mantle) plants growing in our garden.

This also shows how much growth the Alchemilla - and the wild Rowan (Sorbus aucuparia) seedling beside it - have put on since I blipped them here at the end of May.
