Mossy Maze Polypore

It grows on dead and rotting wood in deciduous woodlands, according to my app.

It was drizzly this morning, but we had a fine walk in Shell Bay wood. I saw a GS woodpecker, but he was too quick for me to capture.
When we were driving home again on the single track road between the two parts of the wood three roe deer crossed the road. There are signs warning to drive slowly, so I managed to stop in time. They hesitated a bit when they saw the car, then trotted across. It was a real treat.
