Dryads

Foul weather again today, not windy but low cloud and inhospitable looking hills. So still on the forestry theme, went for a walk up behind Graiganour Lodge, near Kinloch Rannoch and today's blip is lichen-covered trees in the wood.

Hidden in among the tress we came across a strange building which is an art installation known as "Skyspace" by James Turrell, apparently he has a number of these around the world. It's an empty, oval room, open to the sky, with a grandiose staircase leading up to a square entrance (extras). You can sit in the room and look up at the sky, the oval framing gives it a very disorientating feeling.
