The Mole Antonelliana

After a long day at the conference what better way spend the evening than at a champagne reception in the The Mole Antonelliana. This is a major landmark building in Turin rising higher than any other building and dominating the skyline. It is named for the architect who built it, Alessandro Antonelli. The Mole at 163,35 metres high, is the tallest brick building in the world. It is now the home of the National Museum of Cinema.

We were able to go in the panoramic lift up to the little temple under the spire, from which we enjoyed views of the beautiful city landscape and of the surrounding mountains.
