Caledonian Isles

Mrs F and I were out on car hunting duties again today and ended up near Ardrossan so we took a trip to the harbour for a wander about.

It was blowing a gale from the West so Mrs F decided to stay in the car. I went out to the harbour entrance to get some shots of the Arran ferry leaving for the trip to Brodick.

When I got out to the end of the pier I felt the full force of the gale and on turning round saw the ferry hugging the harbour wall as it slid round from the terminal to point out to sea. The engines roared and the captain powered the vessel out the harbour entrance to head for Arran.
