The Wellerman

Nathan Evans was in town today promoting his new song -  'Heather on the Hill'.   He is a really nice guy and said most people tend to refer to him as 'The Sea Shanty Guy'. 

That's as a result of his UK number one hit with the New Zealand Sea Shanty 'Wellerman'.   It became an massive online hit on Tik Tok and gained a lot of attraction from the likes of Gary Barlow, Ronan Keeting, and Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber. 

He just perfromed the 3 songs today - 'Wild Mountain Thyme' ; 'Caledonia'; and then the new song twice.  

I said he was a nice guy, well at the end of his performance he addressed the adults in the audinece (the Extra shows his younger fans!) inviting them to the local Horseshoe Pub where he had left money behind the bar to buy everyone a drink. .
