Out on the Ice

We drove to Smitingen to see how the beach, sea, and ice were looking. And this is what we found.
Big wind and big waves had driven a lot of ice into the bay. That nearest the shore was held in place by the ice further out and was beginning to freeze together. It was very stable but a few bits were still rocking about a little when you trod on them and BrambleBlossom ventured a little further out, offering a good opportunity for us other blippersI
My outdoor safety instincts kicked in a little but since the sea is very shallow here it is a good place to play a little. Falling in would have been very uncomfortable but the water is not more than thigh deep and the warm car only 300 m away.
