Cricket whites

We started to explore the Hills District, the part of Western Sydney where we find ourselves accidentally living for the next few days. It’s a very pleasant area, green and leafy with lots of trees and bush land, lots of bird life. On a clear day you can see as far as the Blue Mountains. In the earlier years of the colony this area was full of market gardens and small farms. Now it is largely residential.  We happened on this cricket match on the brilliantly green Glenhaven Oval. What struck me was that they were wearing whites, which seemed almost old fashioned.
