Collared Dove #17

Our Big Garden Birdwatch this morning yielded 23 birds with 10 different species:

Blackbird - 4
Coal Tit - 1
Blue Tit - 3
Great Tit - 1
Goldfinch - 2
Blackcap - 1
Wood Pigeon - 2
Feral Pigeon - 5
Robin - 2
Magpie - 2

Surprised not to see any Chaffinches or Long Tailed Tits as they've been regular visitors in recent weeks, and amazed to see a Blackcap because we've not seen one since before Christmas. 

After we had finished the count, this pair of collared doves popped down for a snack. 

It is my niece's birthday on Monday so we all went out for a family meal together at The Grill On the Square in Warrington. Not been there before and won't be rushing back I don't think. It was just average and quite expensive for what you got. Not the best, but the girls enjoyed what they had so that was good at least.
