Freedom

The bestest friend, Bailey and I headed to the coast today for a walk - and walk we did. We parked at the North Sea Observatory at Chapel St Leonards and walked to Huttoft and back on the sand all the way. About 7 miles we reckon and Bailey walked (and at times ran) the majority of it, off lead and just the last couple of miles-ish in his carrier. We saw an injured seal on the way up the coast (his injury visible in the extra.) A guy who was fishing was with him and had called the seal sanctuary at Skegness who would come and collect him. He seemed fairly lively but his neck was clearly bothering him. He had apparently come out of the sea and it was bleeding a lot but the seal sanctuary will hopefully have managed to get to him. He certainly didn't look like he was that keen on going back into the sea when we saw them.

We had thought we might get something to eat to put us on at the Huttoft cafe but it is closed until February so back to the Observatory. We were definitely ready to eat by that point. Take-away sticky ginger cake which has been eaten for tea was also very good. Achey legs and a very tired Bailey but we have had a good day and a lovely catch up.
