Shadows of teasels

There's a little rewilded area on top of the hill above the Old Road through the village which has been made into a little local nature reserve. I don't go there often as I generally try to walk a bit further, but it has lovely views and and an area with tree stumps and wood piles which create lots of interesting shapes and textures as well as habitats. It was a sunny morning, and I was glad to see and hear a skylark rising out of the grass with its wonderful call.
