The FrankenPoodle

Frank. My “ Poodle”. :—) That’s been his nickname all these years. So funny bc he is obviously NOT a poodle. :—) Such a character. At 15.5 years old, he still does pretty good. He has become quite the house dog these cold wet days. Thursday, he stayed in the house all day due to the storms and was up all Thursday night. I have suspected that he has some doggie dementia . It dawned on me that he possibly had a “ sundowners” episode: confusion sets in at dark accompanied by restlessness and anxietyThursday night. Yesterday, I made him stay outside almost all day where he would be stimulated and not sleep all day. At dark, I brought him in and rubbed his ears, face, and front feet with 2 drops of lavender essential oil diluted in a couple teaspoons of rosehip oil. It was magic. He slept all night long.! Hopefully the magic will work tonight, also! He’s such a sweetheart.
