Crosby Bricks

The coast just past Crosby Beach, where Gormley’s ‘Another Place’ iron men statues stand, was used as a dumping ground for the bombed ruins of Liverpool after WW2. It’s a fascinating area of house bricks and massive slabs of once-grand city buildings, that are getting worn smooth by the tides.
I enjoy looking for letters, or building designs, and it’s good to find bricks of various colours with the maker’s name stamp still clear to read!
