Railway viaduct

Today is a beautiful day to take a tour through both Limburgs. In Remersdaal, this railway viaduct stood out in the middle of the landscape. It is the second major viaduct on the track constructed during the First World War from Aachen via Tongeren to Antwerp. Two kilometers further on is the longest railway tunnel that spans the Voervallei. It is 2130 meters. So a lot longer than this stone span.
Since 1958, only freight trains have run on the track.
