The Edge of the Wold

Ash sunset

Here again is my favourite ash tree, which stands proudly in the old gappy hedgerow at the top of the Cliff looking down on the flat Plain of York.  I watched it closely last year for signs of ash dieback, and so far it seems to be perfectly healthy.  Long may it remain so, as it's such a conspicuous feature on the Wold edge as viewed from the Pocklington road.

A glorious day today after the rain and gloom of yesterday.  Pete and Allan were back working on the landscaping at the rear of the house, the plasterers have got everything ready to start skimming the walls and high ceilings of the big space of the kitchen/diner/living room.  James the plumber was doing the final finishes to the boiler system.  While C and I were tidying up, and doing our 6th tip run in the last four days.  All good progress.
