Three Objects in a Frame

Flat lay still life with three objects in a wooden frame with a dark background. The three objects have a loose natural history theme and were all found on my window sill. Finding a story beyond this becomes more challenging! It is sometimes said that the objects people use to create this type of still life say something about the person creating it. Camels have strong a strong symbolism associated with them. As well as being associated with journey, persistence and pilgrimage. They are also a symbol of strength, endurance and wisdom. Probably qualities we would all aspire to! The fir cone was collected on a Dartmoor walk and creates a link to the great outdoors. The ammonite reminds me of finding fossils as a child on the beach at Lyme Regis in Dorset, and of how ancient and mysterious they seemed.
