Tracking the local Lynx.

The photo shows Lynx tracks heading towards the Beaver Lodge which lies beneath the pile of snow you can see, looking  for dinner perhaps?
We never lose the feeling of excited anticipation when we head out over the frozen lakes, to us folk from the UK, walking on water seems miraculous.
This section doesn't freeze over completely as the water is flowing , and although we were completely safe there is a slight sense of danger as we step off the snow scooter track for a better look.

Unfortunately, Jan hasn’t felt well today so it was just the three of us heading out on the snowshoes today. Hopefully she will feel better tomorrow, three of us have now had this bug, just Dave to go ![ Not that I'm wishing it on him]

The weather has been cold and crispy today however, we are due to have a very windy day tomorrow. We enjoy all the different weather conditions as its all new to us and adds extra interest . its easy to say from the comfort and safety of Botsle.
I’m off to bed shortly to read my new book .
I have just finished Ishmael’s Oranges by Clare Hajaj, beautifully crafted , it follows the story of two families , one Jewish and one Palestinian . It starts in Jaffa in April 1948 so its a very relevant book that shines light on the current situation . I’m very pleased that I read it and would heartily recommend it. Elif Shafak gives it a good write up , she is one of my favourite authors, only recently discovered . Both authors have excellent credentials .
Hope you all have peaceful, restful nights, sleep is so restorative and I wish you plenty of it !
