I had slept poorly and would have preferred to work from home but my whole team were scheduled to be in the office so the office it was 

Another sombre day as my colleague who was sat nearby had been told by the hospice where her mum was moved two weeks ago that her end of life was very close.   She messaged me after work to say that she had died.  

Nat offered to walk to the Prom with me for some lunchtime air which was good and preceded, for me, by a walk to the High Street for an M&S wrap.  I dropped into the traditional sweet shop for floral gums and liquorice comforts.

The long lunch meant that I kept my accrued hours less than 15 which was the end of month target.
