Not Ugly

To be fair, very little of the bits of Italy I've visited are ugly, but Malcesine is ridiculously pretty. The castle is a popular location for weddings and it's easy to see why.

Went for a magical mystery tour on a little bus today before ending up back in the also ridiculously pretty Cassone for a spot of chilled white wine and spaghetti with garlic, oil and tomatoes for lunch. Then came the walk back, in full sunshine, with me hopping from one bit of shade to another. It's only an hour's walk, but today it took us much longer as we had to stop twice for liquid refreshment and a cool down. First time in the outside bar of a very swish hotel where I could have happily stayed for the rest of the day and once in the outside bar of another swish hotel which we normally like but today had been invaded by what seemed to be a bunch of extras from TOWIE who'd just arrived for a wedding.

Then dinner later on in my favourite restaurant followed by a couple of freebie glasses of limoncello and grappa and then wine at a lovely roof-top bar.
