Whooper Swans

A scarce and local winter visitor. About 14,000 in the U.K. and Ireland from November to March.

This morning there was a group of 12 at Leighton Moss. Suddenly they all took off. Panic well known to Blippers. Getting the camera out in time and using whatever setting it happened to be on. Got  the last three in the flight.

Good enough for identification. You can see theyellow on the bill and the long straight necks.
