A field of geese

Happy 1st February! And what a glorious day of weather to celebrate! A chilly start with a lovely sunrise, and fabulous blue skies!

perfect day for a little local wander, and the geese were out in force!  Also saw meadow pipits, goldfinches, stonechats, robins, tufted ducks, wigeon and pochard.   Has also been quite quiet in my garden on the bird front too!

On the walk home I stopped in at the local horticultural society where it was reopening day, and renew your membership day so it was fun and chaos there with everyone lining up to get their new cards, along with some purchases they'd made!  I resisted, other than a bag of mealworms for the birds!
