Two Temple Place

We went to an exhibition this afternoon called "The Glass Heart" in Two Temple Place, which was built as a home for William Waldorf Astor in the 1890s. It's a relatively small exhibition about the development of glass.  For me, the most interesting parts were the videos of contemporary makers talking about their glass creations and demonstrating their techniques. I love watching arts and crafts being made!  It's worth visiting just for the gorgeous building itself on the banks of the Thames near Temple.

Yesterday evening we saw Maestro Pappano conduct at the Barbican a starry cast of soloists, huge orchestra and two choirs in Mendelssohn's Elijah.  Elijah himself was sung by my heart-throb, Gerald Finley.  What an evening!
