The Blue Tit

The blue tits have started nesting in our bird box. Last year was a disaster as the birds deserted it before the young had fledged. Sadly, we found the poor little things dead in the nest when we came to clean it out. 

We decided that it was partly because they were disturbed by us walking down the path. But a greater part was due to a certain excited young dog chasing up and down the garden.

We moved the box further down the garden and we plan to restrict Jak's playtime when we see activity. We are not sure if this will work but we will do our best. Fingers crossed.
