Early foal

I went to get bird seed and as usual was on the lookout for a Clydesdale photo opportunity on the farm but I didn’t expect to see a foal as early in the season - apparently this mare always does this and used to catch them out .

It is only a few days old by the look of it and I loved how it kept getting up and had a mad dash round its mum ( extra ) then lay down for a few minutes before doing it again. Obviously trying out these gangly legs !
