The first rose

This is our first year in Belgium and we moved into our present home in January, so we had no idea what grew in the garden. The house has been rented out for years, and it's the owner who has taken care of the garden and its design. It's mainly a lawn with a border of shrubs and trees around the edges. I won't be able to change much about the whole garden apart from planting stuff in pots. Now everything which was already in the garden is starting to bloom and bud it can be a real surprise to see what appears. We had lilac a month ago and now the one rose is starting to bud. Here's the very first open rose in a shade between pinkish red and pinkish orange :-)
Now where are the ladybirds and black ants when you need them because there are a lot of greenflies around !
