Imbolc….Lá Fhéile Bhríde….1st Of Spring….!!!!

No matter what we call it …it’s February 1st…
And so happy to see it….there was even more light in the evening..!!

A lovely trip to Kildare Town today to St. Brigids Catherdral…
Mainly to see and say a prayer at the very new Relic of St. Brigid that was gifted back to Kildare last Sunday…
We lit a candle for you all too..
The collage is a photo of it displayed in a very beautiful silver oak tree (Cill Dara…Kildare..meaning oak tree) that was especially designed to hold it….a giant Brigids Cross that sits over the main entrance to the Church…..the rather lovely Spring decorated Altar to celebrate the Feast Day….and the Irish Colleen (depicting Brigid)…!!! constructed in the towns Market Square…
We have a whole weekend of celebration as we have a new Bank Holiday on Monday to honour Brigid as our National Female Saint…!!
