A day sightseeing at Waitomo

We were going to visit Sanctuary Mountain today but because of forecast high winds, the sanctuary was closed so we travelled to Waitomo instead.  We did the Ruakuri walk and then walked into Marokopa Falls and then the Natural Bridge. It rained off and on all day but we managed to arrive at each activity between the showers and didn't get wet. 
The falls had more water flowing over them than I had ever seen before.  The advantage of the recent rain, I guess. 
We came home to find three large branches from the Silk tree on the lawn from the wind.  The chainsaw will get a run tomorrow.
